ENGINEERING OPERATIVE
Engineering Operatives are predominantly involved in engineering operations which are key to the success of the Manufacturing and Engineering sector. They work individually or as part of a team to carry out a range of operations to ensure machines and equipment used are maintained and serviceable.
Level: 2
Duration: 21 months plus 3 months EPA
LEAN MANUFACTURING
OPERATIVE
A Lean Manufacturing Operative will be expected to carry out their work safely and meet the exacting quality standards demanded in a fast-paced and efficient processing environment and develop into a multi-skilled operator through process ownership.

Duration: 12 months plus 3 months EPA
MACHINING TECHNICIAN
This occupation is found in the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) sector. AME includes Aerospace, Automotive, Maritime Defence, Nuclear and Construction sectors. Machining technicians produce complex and precision machined products that are typically used in machinery.

Duration: 42 months plus 3 months EPA
ENGINEERING FITTER
This occupation is found in the manufacturing and process sectors. The broad purpose of the occupation is to produce complex high-value, low-volume components or assemblies in full or part, using machines, equipment or systems, to the required specification.

Duration: 42 months plus 4 months EPA
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Engineering Technicians in the Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, Maritime Defence and Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Sector are involved in highly skilled, complex work and must, be able to, make a technical contribution to a number of things involving development.

Duration: 42 months plus 4 months EPA
MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Engineering Technicians take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they undertake within the limits of their personal authority. They also need to be able to demonstrate a core set of behaviours in order to be competent in their job role, and complement wider business strategy and development.
