Functional Skills
WORK WITH THE NHS
This course is designed for you to gain the knowledge and qualifications to become part of a customer service/ administration team within the NHS, offering excellent customer service to patients. As part of the course you will be offered a two-week work placement where you will be a friendly face that will assist patients, whether that be helping with a query or welcoming people for an appointment. Following your work placement you will receive a guaranteed interview for a role.
SECTOR BASED WORK ACADEMY
This Health & Social Care Course consists of six short sharp units which will give you the knowledge required to start a career within the Adult Social Care Sector. You will receive two level one qualifications along with the help and support from industry experts on how to gain employment in this sector. Upon successful completion of this course, you are guaranteed an interview in the Care sector.
PERFORMING ENGINEERING
OPERATIONS
Performing Engineering Operations, sometimes referred to as PEO h as been designed to give those wanting a career in the Engineering sector a head start into employment. Throughout the course, you will work with industry-experienced tutors covering units on Hand Fitting, Mechanical Maintenance, Health and Safety and Data and Documentation.
SUPPORT WORK IN SCHOOLS
This Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools has been designed to give you the skills you need to work with, and support, children, and young people in an educational setting. During your studies you will cover a wide range of areas including communication, development, planning activities, monitoring and more. You will also gain insight into how schools and colleges are structured and operate.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Our Functional Skills courses have been developed to help gain essential skills in Maths and English. As nationally recognised alternatives to GCSEs, these courses focus on developing practical and functional Maths and English skills which can be applied to everyday life both at work and at home. Functional skills are fundamental, applied skills in English, mathematics, and essential digital skills which help people to gain the most from life, learning, and work.
